Lung Transplantation

Lung Transplantation

The Lung Transplant Program at MGH is one of the largest lung transplant programs in the Northeast, performing over 60 new transplants per year, and cares for a large population of pre- and post-transplant patients. Our fellows rotate on this service in both the outpatient and inpatient settings. They gain exposure to pre-transplant evaluation, have the opportunity to observe organ procurement and transplantation, participate in the immediate post-operative care of patients after transplantation, learn about the breadth of post-transplant complications and receive dedicated teaching by experienced transplant physicians.
